ATE Brake Master Cylinder
Located near the brake pedal, brake master cylinders are at the start of the hydraulic brake system operation. On depressing the brake pedal, the piston inside the master cylinder is pushed along forcing brake fluid through the brake pipes generating the pressure required to operate the calipers and wheel cylinders. Often assisted by a brake Servo (Booster). Replacement is required when loss of brake pressure (pedal has no resistence) or when brake fluid leaks.
