The purpose of your car radiator is to reduce the temperature of your engine. With so many moving parts all working together, the engine generates a huge amount of heat. By reducing the temperature, the radiator stops these parts from creating too much friction. This in turn helps prevent the engine from seizing and grinding your car to a halt. The radiator works by absorbing heat from the liquid coolant (water), and releasing it into the atmosphere. Leaks are a clear sign that your radiator is faulty. Diagnose this by looking for puddles of green or red liquid below your car. Meanwhile, a pressure level of below 10 PSI is a sign of corrosion. If you do find leaks or rust, you must replace the radiator at once. For a low price on the perfect replacement, look for your new car radiator at Car Parts 4 Less.
