TXV & Control Valves

Thermal expansion (TXV) and control valves regulate the amount of coolant that reaches the condenser in the air conditioning (AC) system of a vehicle. You can find cheap replacement TXV and control valves by searching with your registration number here.

TXV and control valves are vital components of an AC system. They work in the same way as any other valve: by opening and closing according to how much liquid or fluid another component needs. In the case of air conditioning, it is the condenser that receives the coolant to work with the evaporator to change the internal temperature of a vehicle. If the condenser receives too much coolant, it could freeze and break the system; if it receives too little, the evaporator will not have enough liquid to be able to reduce the temperature of the vehicle’s interior. This is why it is important to regularly check and maintain the condition of the control valves in the AC system, since old and defective ones can make for a much more uncomfortable driving experience than is necessary.
