Suspension Arms and Joints

The suspension arm or 'control arm’ keeps your wheels aligned with the body of your car. The suspension joints, also known as ‘ball joints’, connect the arm to your steering system. CarParts4Less.co.uk offers great bargains on suspension arms and joints for any car.

The suspension arm provides a link between the suspension and the frame of your car. The arm attaches at either side with the aid of bushings. The suspension joint connects the outer end of the arm to the steering knuckle. As you drive, the suspension swings up and down to absorb bumps in the road. The suspension joint allows the suspension arm to pivot against the steering knuckle and absorb vibrations as the wheels move. Most cars have two control arms, but some have three or four. Suspension arms and joints need to be replaced every 90,000 to 100,000 miles. They come in different shapes and sizes, so it’s important to buy the right ones.
